  1. Arrive within your ticket window

    Arrive within the entry window shown on your ticket. Doors open at 9 AM every day, and last entry is 30 minutes before closing.

  2. Show your ticket

    Have your Fever app ticket ready to scan at the entrance. Everyone passes through security outside the building first, so leave a few extra minutes at busy times.

  3. Explore at your own pace

    Walk through all nine galleries, plus free general seating at the dolphin presentation and Saltwater Showdown sea lion show.

In short What to expect

Georgia Aquarium is home to nine galleries and more than 10 million gallons of water, from the 6.3 million gallon Ocean Voyager tunnel to the touch pools at Explorers Cove. General admission covers every open gallery, plus general seating at the dolphin presentation and the Saltwater Showdown sea lion show, with same-day re-entry if you get your ticket stamped on the way out.

Parking, animal encounters, behind-the-scenes tours and the $5 preferred dolphin seating are not included. Part of the Southern Company River Scout gallery is temporarily closed for scheduled maintenance.

FAQs Solving your doubts

Where can I find my ticket?
In the "Tickets" section of the Fever app, available on the Apple App Store and Google Play. Log in using the same method you used to buy. Your QR code is also in your confirmation email.
Are the dolphin and sea lion shows included?
Yes. General admission covers general seating at both the dolphin presentation and Saltwater Showdown, the sea lion presentation. Reservations are free and made on the day of your visit, first come first served, and a seat is not guaranteed. Arrive 15 minutes before the start. A $5 preferred seating upgrade is available for the dolphin presentation.
Can I change or refund my ticket?
Tickets are non-refundable. Date changes are possible up to 24 hours before your booked date, subject to a processing fee. Please contact us with your ticket ID.
How long should I plan for?
The Aquarium suggests 3 to 4 hours to see the whole site. Most guests spend 2 to 4 hours, and closer to 4 to 6 if you are stopping for the animal presentations.
Is there parking?
Yes, an attached deck with around 1,600 spaces at 357 Luckie Street NW. It costs $30 for non-members and is cashless, so bring a card or use a digital wallet. Height limit is 6'8" at all entrances, with a small number of oversized spaces up to 8'2" on the first floor. A limited number of spaces can be prepaid online and they often sell out.
What does general admission cover?
Entry to all open galleries and all available animal presentations, plus same-day re-entry. Parking is charged separately.
Do young children need a ticket?
Children under 3 do not need a ticket or a reservation. From age 3, standard pricing applies.
Is the Aquarium accessible?
Yes. Wheelchairs are free on a first come, first served basis from Guest Relations in exchange for photo ID, and cannot be reserved ahead. Free golf carts run to and from the parking deck, and accessible parking is on level 3. The Aquarium is a certified sensory-inclusive venue with KultureCity. There are low sensory hours daily until 10 AM, a dedicated sensory room on level 2, free sensory bags, and posted quiet zones. Closed-captioning devices are available for the animal presentations, and ASL interpretation can be arranged with advance notice.
Can I leave and come back?
Yes. General admission guests can exit and re-enter on the same day by getting the ticket stamped at the Information Desk on the way out.
Where is the Aquarium?
225 Baker Street NW, Atlanta, GA 30313, in downtown Atlanta next to Centennial Olympic Park. The car park has a separate address: 357 Luckie Street NW.
Is there anywhere to eat?
Coastline Cafe on the upper level serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, with beer and cocktails for over 21s. Seaside Delights and Coveside Concessions open on selected days.
Are animal encounters included?
No, those are booked and paid for separately. The Aquarium runs beluga, dolphin, harbor seal, penguin, sea lion and sea otter encounters, a shark and ray interaction, the Journey with Gentle Giants whale shark swim and dive, behind-the-scenes tours and overnight stays.
